It sounds to me like the lights on your trailer are wired up incorrectly. The Running/Brake lights will typically use 2 separate filaments inside a bulb. The brighter should be for the brake/turn signals and the lighter for the running lights. If they are wired backwards it is hard to see the less bright light flash when the brighter lights are on. Hey Rodney, good question so there isn't a single harness that will do both a tow bar lighting and trailer wiring solution but you can install both at the same time. So for trailer wiring you could use the Tekonsha part # 118786 and then for the tow bar lighting kit you'd want the part # C96JR. Hey Tom so I definitely know what you are asking for but due to the very minimalistic design of the Kuat Transfer part # KU84FR there isn't a great way to add lights to it. But the good news is that you most likely don't need additional lights. This plugs in to the existing 4-flat and will hardwire into the reverse light circuit on your ProMaster van. I am afraid I don't have a way to tell you exactly where to find the reverse light circuit. You may be able to get that info from a dealership. The 1:00 pin circuit of the 7-way could be ran to power the dome light since that's a 12 volt circuit that is hot all the time but you would need to go a different route for the third brake light.
